The Kshara-sutra therapy for Ano-rectal diseases:
Initially the Kshara-sutra therapy has been standarized at BHU, India in 1970s where thousands of patients suffering from Fistula-in-ano (Anal fistula) were treated successfully without any recurrence. Later on, the Kshara-sutra’s application has been extended for other ano-rectal conditions like Piles (Hemorrhoids), Chronic Fissure-in-ano and other benign growths like Condyloma, warts etc.The Kshara-sutra therapy has been approved by PGI, Chandigarh and ICMR, New Delhi. It has been proved to be a minimally invasive parasurgical procedure with excellent result for the difficult Ano-rectal diseases like Fistula-in-ano, Hemorrhoids etc.
